DESCRIPTION:
Using as much publicly available GIS data as possible, I was able to render a geographically accurate track map of the Raritan Valley Line which is a commuter rail service operated by NJ Transit currently serving the counties of Hunterdon, Somerset, Union and Essex in New Jersey.
PRINTING:
Depending on the print size of your transit map, your order will be processed and further printed through one of two suppliers which both function as third-party professional printing companies. Standard processing time may take up to 3 days in-lab before being shipped out.
MOUNTING:
Transit Maps which are either 36x24 or 60x40 offer a foamcore mounting feature which provides a more sturdy and long lasting print that is easy to display. Transit Maps which are 24x16 offer a double-weight matboard mounting feature which not only gives the print extra support, but also helps preserve the value of the print over time. Double-weight matboard mounting is 1/8" thick.
PAPER QUALITY:
Transit Maps which are either 36x24 or 60x40 are mutually printed on a matte paper canvas which are laminated with a clear film that protects and preserves your print for longer use. Transit Maps which are 24x16 are printed on a standard photographic canvas which utilizes a luster coating to add a rich sheen and further protect against fingerprints and UV exposure.
PURCHASE OPTIONS:
24x16 — $80 (add double-weight matboard mounting +$10)
36x24 — $100 (add foamcore mounting +$20)
60x40 — $130 (add foamcore mounting +$20)
NOTE:
Frames are not included with the purchase of a Transit Map. Unfortunately, cost-effective framing options are not available at the moment and we have chosen to leave this process up to the customer. We apologize for any inconveniences.
