ABOUT US 

“Halma Geomaps” is a personal map-making and cartography company based in Scotch Plains, NJ. Founded in 2018 by NJ native, Zach Halma, the venture started with the intent of designing and delivering symbolic pieces of artwork for small cities and townships across the NY/NJ metro area. The vision kickstarted in 2017 after realizing that not many areas in and around NJ have uniform, decorative maps available for purchase. Given Zach’s strong interest in cartography and extensive background in graphic design, he opted to start designing and constructing the maps himself. Four years later, Halma Geomaps retains a plethora of over 100 maps and continues to add new Geomap locations of which new requests are always welcome! WHAT WE WISH TO ACCOMPLISH WITH OUR GEOMAPS 

We want to use our Geomaps to establish a feeling that hits close to home with any viewer. We make these designs for the people who live in the cities and townships across the country which often have little to no visual artwork associated to their location. By doing this, one can proudly flaunt their pride for where they’re from and demonstrate that these locations are more than just a place on a map but irreplaceable symbols of our journey through life. If one can take a step back and appreciate the true uniqueness of a Geomap, we feel that our goal has been accomplished. 

OUR DESIGN GOALS 

While art comes in many shapes and forms, we believe that every piece of artwork possesses a common attribute: the ability to invoke a powerful message through a captivating and head-turning visual. It is our goal to display the extensive bounds of any given community in a modern and simplistic design scheme. By doing so, we hope that any individual can look at a Geomap and identify personal landmarks such as homes, businesses or monuments. DESIGN PROCESS & CUSTOM MAPS

It is our intent to voice that our design process is both laborious and time-consuming—two prerequisites which ensure our products are accurate, aesthetically pleasing, and truly genuine. No autonomous softwares or artificial intelligence programs are used during the design process and we wish to keep it that way, even if it sacrifices our speed of growth. Some projects prove to be more challenging and intricate than others and for that reason we kindly ask for your patience with custom and new Geomap location requests.
